Who says you can’t wear all black to the beach?

Beach is the new black. Or maybe it’s just wearing black to the beach.

Either way, gray skies surrounded the Gulf Coast. So what else was there to do except have a little afternoon beach photo shoot? I’m working on continuing my 14 in ’14 goals. One of which is that I want to mix up my daily wardrobe.

I’ve got some great pieces lurking around and it’s time to show them the love they deserve.

What I wore:
Top: Asos
Skirt: Topshop
Jacket: Topshop (couldn’t find mine, but here is a similar option)

Thoughts on the outfit? It felt good to get out of my comfort zone and mix things up a bit wardrobe wise with a couple of staple black pieces… and it was even more fun to get out there on the beach!
